Website design specifically for painters, photographers, sculptors, potter and other visual artists.My aim is to create a website for you that will give you a totally professional presence on the internet, at a price that you can afford. This site that you are viewing now was born on the 17th April 2007. I've been meaning to do it for weeks, but somehow other things just keep getting in the way! As soon as I can I'll add a lot more content to this site, so please visit it again soon. In the meantime, I have three levels of website available to artists now, and you can see examples of all of them here, just click on the see an example here link. Example sites will open in a new window - close that window to come back here and visit a different type of site. One Page Site - see an example here The simplest and least expensive format. One page that contains a logo, information about you, your contact details and a gallery of six images. Each site will be custom designed and unique to the individual artist, but prices start at only £99. Multi Page Site - see an example here What one might call a standard site. Uniquely designed for you, it will consist of a Home Page with an artist's statement and one or more images. An About page or two, where you can expand on your work, inspiration, methods etc. An Events page, for listing your exhibition, workshops and other activities. A Contact page so that people can get in touch with you. A Links page with links to other artist's or art related websites. Of course there will be a Gallery of your work. In the standard site, the gallery will consist of two pages with six images per page. Clicking on an image will open a new window with that image displayed at a larger size. You can also put some extra information about the work too, such as how you were inspired to create it. In total a standard site will have 19 or 20 pages, and the cost is £350. Extra pages or galleries can be added at a modest additional cost. Custom built site - see an example here Different styles of gallery, an on-line shop, dynamic animations, these are just a few of the things that can form part of a custom designed site. The cost for such a site depends on the amount of work involved, feel free to discuss your requirements. Website hosting Websites have to be hosted on an internet server before they are visible on the web. Registration of your domain name e.g. www.yourname.com or www.yourname.co.uk is included in the cost of the site, together with hosting for one year. At the end of the year the hosting has to be renewed otherwise your site will disappear. This costs £50 per annum.
