Welcome

The West Norfolk Artists Association was set up in 2000 to promote visual art from this area of Norfolk. Currently membership numbers over 90 individuals and is open to amateur and professional artists, as well as art lovers. Our members come from all walks of life and include art students, painters, sculptors, photographers, installation artists and weavers.

The Association meets regularly, organizes talks with professionals working in or with the art world, holds exhibitions of its members’ work, and organizes community art projects. It's functions are constantly changing and expanding to fulfill the demands of the membership, but encompasses the following:-

  • It works closely with the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk and is represented in several arts promoting bodies at Borough and County level in Norfolk.
  • It organises events and exhibitions in West Norfolk to give the public an opportunity to get to know it's members and their work.
  • The WNAA website promotes and informs about the Association and it's events. Each member is entitled to a free page on the site with space for images and information.
  • It publishes a monthly newsletter that includes details of WNAA activities together with other art related events.
  • It carries out research into how the visual arts can be promoted and supported, and offers artists a channel through which to make their views known to the authorities.

Membership of the Association is open to anyone, regardless of where you live. Full membership costs £15 per year and entitles the member to all the benefits of the Association. Associate membership costs £8 per year, and entitles the member to simply receive the monthly newsletter. For full time students, membership is available at a reduced fee of £10.
